Haha, no, this is purely to give my silly self a reason to RP as Maria as a hedgehog. I love her and want to play out a 'what if?' scenario. If you find my stupid AU illogical and it throws you outta your immersion; understandable, have a nice day!PROJECT LIGHT was a rough back up plan created by Dr. Gerald Robotnik in the case scenario that Maria's body would succumb to her illness quicker than he could find a cure for it. It was a last resort. Gerald Robotnik used Maria's DNA to biologically engineer a vessel in which he planned to transfer Maria's consciousness to in order to give her a new body to continue living in. Even if temporarily. One untouched by her disease, despite holding similar genetic makeup to her. However, the experiment remained in storage as it was never used given the incident that occurred on the arc resulting in Maria and Dr. Gerald Robotnik's death.Much like Black Doom taking an interest in the creation of Shadow, an unknown deity in the universe took great interest in the genius of Dr. Robotnik's attempts in creation of life within outer space. She took great pity upon the girl he aimed to save, and found the sheer unfaltering will of humans to be enthusing. In the event of Maria's death, she bound her soul with the empty vessel to give the child a second chance.During the G.U.N raid, the doctor's laboratory suffers a great explosion that sends most of his old work, including the capsule holding the unawakened vessel, into space orbit. For 50 years it floated endlessly in the vaccum of space, before one day it enters Earth's atmosphere and is sent plummeting towards the planet and crashing into the ground in the middle of near nowhere.

AU Keypoints

This is very early on in her awakening. This account is starting off at a point where she knows nothing. I wanna RP out her development!
She does not have any memories. Everything before she awoken is pitch black. Though, loud noises (or bangs, cough) do seem to trigger panic in her.
She shares the same soul as Maria. In essence, she is her, but she has not lived or learned life as the Maria before her has. She has not met the people she has met, or experienced what she has experienced. Her life is her own, and will shape differently. After all, she does not have the illness that the late Maria Robotnik did.
She is ageless, but the body was created over 50 years ago.
Her mind is not the mind of a 12 year old girl. She still lacks maturity, however, given she is still learning herself and the world.
Her body was created after the success of Shadow, using the same steps in order to achieve something similar to how he looked. Though, it was incomplete given Dr. Gerald Robotnik did not have another creature or deity, such as Doom, to finish the experiment. He never got that far. The unknown Deity completed it for him after his death.

Story so far

She was disorientated with a throbbing headache, she could hardly muster an ounce of strength to her arms or legs. She awoken in the middle of a vast meadow of tall grass and wildflowers within her capsule, sunken into a crater created in the ground. The sun was blinding to her sensitive eyes, almost every sense of hers being overwhelmed by the unfamiliar place she found herself in. She did not know where she was, who she was, or what she was. After giving her time to adjust, she was able to leave her pod and finally step on Earth for the first time.Though hesitant, curiosity urged her on to move forward and explore her surroundings. So many new things to see and observe, she was both fearful and intrigued.

RULES

This account if 17+. There will be NSFW only in the themes of violence, profane language (swearing) and dark topics like death and murder. I will try and tag such things with warnings, but be aware of this while following. I will also not be following or allowing any writers under the age of 17 to follow my account. Mind you, I am a grown woman in my 20's. Anyone under the age of 18 I will not be discussing anything profane or vulgar with.
Lewd focused accounts will not be followed and I do not want any following me. You do you, but this account is not that.
Currently not looking to ship Maria. It may be something I will consider in the future, but I wish to flesh out her platonic relationships and familiar ones at this time. She is also a character that needs to grow and mature, as the world is brand new to her. That being said, I do not mind anyone having crushes on her, but know that she sees others only platonically and will till I feel she is ready to explore that area of life.
